Google Chrome not compatible with Hotmail

chromeProblem1

I don't care if Chrome is said to be faster than other competitor.
If it can't display web pages better than IE or Firefox, what is the use?

Yesterday, I found its hard to use Chrome to navigate Facebook.
Today, I tried Hotmail. Yep.. It didn't work.. Sigh...

Yes its  beta. But sites like Facebook or Hotmail is very highly used
social networking and email site.

Personally, I think such sites should work on beta version.
So far, Chrome....its disappointing...

Google Chrome

chrome

Google released beta version of Google Chrome, web browser today.  Oh man, I was so excited.

The file size is amazingly small. Took few seconds to download and installed very quickly.

The User Interface looked really nice. Clean. Simple.

Its got pretty much all the good tools from all the browsers out there; Opera, IE 7, Firefox, and Safari.

Its got secret mode (same as private browsing in Safari)

Its got quick box view (similar to Opera)

Its got search suggestion (similar to IE8 beta)

I have all of them installed so now I got 5 web browsers in my PC.

Some sites run better with certain browsers. So I wished Google Chrome would help me by making me use just one, Chrome.

I visited several sites I usually visit, and it was working great until it hit FACEBOOK~!!  A social networking site that I use every minute I can spare~!!..

Sadly.....Chrome had problem running simple features in Facebook. For example, when I click on "comment" next to friend's updates, it won't open a text box.

Sorry Chrome. Everything aside, you have to make Facebook to work before I start using you. Even OPERA works fine~!!

Yes.. you are in "beta".. so I should wait till it to go gold...

Then again, I am now waiting for IE 8... I am not so sure if I will try the beta though.. but you never know.

Iron Man

iron_man2[1]

Well, Iron Man is like Batman, without a suit he is just man with a lot, I mean A LOT of money.

The movie was also similar to that of "Batman Begins." The movie takes some time to show how the super hero is born. When the super hero finally arises and does a deed movie ends. There were couple lines in the movie to expect Iron Man 2. Guess what...Iron Man 2 is ON~! Its coming 2010.. wow.. 2 years from now... Then again Batman Begins came out 2005 and now its sequel (The Dark Night)  is coming 2008.

The movie, although I had to wait sometime to actually see Iron Man flying around, the story line was well done. Robert Downey Jr. did pretty good job in acting. I can't believe though Gwyneth Paltrow was just secretary and didn't even played much role in the movie. The movie had lot of funnies and thrills. Just wished that Iron Man did some more things before movie ended.

My score: 4.5 out of 5 - Very Entertaining and Must See Movie!!

Glucosamine for Dogs~!

dog_gluco

Well I don't have a dog. So, maybe this isn't new.
I have been seeing increase of glucosamine, or joint support,
products in the market these days.

I never knew that dogs needed glucosamine. Thought four legged
animals didn't have joint support problem. Then again, I don't
have a dog. I wonder if they are available for cats too. ^^

Grand Theft Auto 4

gta4

Yay.. Finally its out~!!!

Waited for soooooo long. I got only into couple hours in, but
so far the game is amazing. The city is amazingly realistic.
Using Sixaxis to drive bikes, boats, or even helicopter is
amazing~! Feels like playing Mario Kart Wii  ^^.

Today, I had to collect protection money from a guy who
runs some kind of Chinese shop.

gta4-1

I had to break his windows to get his attention~!
I laughed hard finding Korean wordings in his shop
saying "Sales~ Half Price~"

Can't wait to play more tonight.. (^^).

The Forbidden Kingdom

theforbiddenkingdom

Growing up watching Jet Li, Jackie Chan movies such as
Wong Fei Hong(Once Upon a Time in China) series (Li), The Bodyguard (Li), Drunken Master (Chan), Police Story (Chan),
and much more I always wondered what would happened
if both of them fight one another.

forbidden2

Although there wasn't a clear "winner" between Jet Li and
Jackie Chan, they both showed amazing kung-fu.

While watching, I regretted my stop taking
Kungfu( wu shu) class at my college. Although I may not
have become great, I'd still be in shape... sigh..

The movie had Jackie Chan style comedy. Through out the
whole movie, audience were laughing and "wow"ing.

Main character, Jason Tripitikas (Michael Angarano), finds a
special ancient relic which he must return into Monkey King in
ancient China. During his adventure he meets Jackie Chan and
Jet li from whom he learns kung fu.

I liked how each character had his own victories, which seemed
very reasonable. For example, although Jason learned Kungfu,
he didn't become super strong in just few days.

forbidden

Sadly, Yifei Liu, didn't play much role in the movie as I hoped.
I wished she would throw more darts and do some special martial arts
like "Hair Grap(?)" by Li Bingbing, who played Witch.
I loved Yifei Liu in TV series "神鵰俠侶 (신조협려)" in 2006.
I guess that's why I expected more.. :)

Overall it was very entertaining movie.
My score: 4 out of 5 - Very Entertaining Movie!!

Right at Your Door

rightaturdoor

Wow.. Its really really good movie.

Info from Yahoo!: After multiple dirty bombs are detonated, spreading deadly toxic ash across Los Angeles, Brad inadvertently quarantines his wife, Lexi outside their new home by safely sealing himself inside. With the city under siege and Martial Law in effect, Brad and Lexi struggle to survive with little supplies.

Like the movie "Phone Booth," 90% of the location in this film is at one place, the house of the main character.

Unlike other "terrorist theme" movie, where you are following law enforcers to capture the bad guys, this movie gives you the "feeling" of victim of the incident. The story line is well written and has nice closure like "The Mist."

My score: 4.5 out of 5 - A Must Watch Movie.

The Orphanage

orphanage

Dustin, one of my best friends, said "The Orphanage" is a must see.
And he was right... it was really well made movie.

The movie reminded me "The Others" starring
Nicole Kidman. Similar plot. Family moves in to a house.
Child always finds out that house is "haunted". Wooo ~~
I remember screaming out loud at the movie theater
while watching "The Others." :)

The Orphanage, or aka El Orfanato, is a movie where a previous
orphan who was adopted when young returns to the orphanage
with her husband and adopted child. The movie starts to be become creepy as the child meets a new "invisible friend.."

The movie wasn't as scary as Japanese movie "The Ring", or
Hong Kong movie "The Eye", but its up there with "The Shine" and "The Mist"

The storyline was actually really good for a horror movie. No dull moment during the movie. Made me watch all the way till end making guess. But I think "The Others" did better in an area of "surprise." Still, the movie is great and I recommend
everyone to watch it.

My score: 4.5 out of 5 - A Must Watch Movie.

I have seen red, yellow, orange and silver before, but never
a green one.

Personally, I will never get one of these. Well, money is an issue, but I will be too worried of getting scratched. But someday, I would want to rent it for a day and drive around....someday....

Maki-zushi in Tustin

080301-0003

Had a chance to finally try out maki-zushi in Tustin.
Its located at Walnut & Edinger.  Its located on my way to
Freshia Market, but since I usually eat at the market, never
had chance to try it out.  Again, I forgot to bring my digital
camera..so quality of pictures are bad...sigh..
So had to use my cell phone camera.

  080301-0007 080301-0008 080301-0009

Although miso was little salty, taste was pretty good.
Sushi price were pretty much same or cheaper than most
Japanese restaurants in OC.  I did take some pictures of House Special Roll, but picture came out all out of focus (stupid cellphone camera..).  They had many different kinds of fish,
even some I have not heard of.  Such as, Alfonsino(KINMI DAI) or Needle Fish(Sayori). I hope to try them, next time.

I also ordered squid, but they were out. The sushi chef offered
(Razor Clams/MATEGAI), picture above next to miso soup.
This was also new to me as I have only tried Large Clam(MIRUGAI) or Surf Clam. It tasted okay, but I still like Mirugai
better. ^^.

Sushi tasted much better than many over priced
Sushi places. I have been to places where two pieces of
Tuna sushi was like $8~!  Here around $2.75 but with more Yum Yum.  Some places don't even make sushi rice for sushi or put
large amount of rice under tiny slice of fish. Here everything
seemed just right.  ^^!

If you have been disappointed in quality or
freshness of fish before you may want to try Maki-zushi.

Check out their website for more pics and menu.

India Cook House in Irvine

Ok. My friends Krishna and Dustin has been telling me try this place out for sometime.
After watching episode of Korean TV reality show "Muhandojun", where members go to India travel and eat curry, I figure its about time I go try that India Cook House.
Its located in the Heritage Plaza near highway 5 and Culver. Here is the website: http://www.indiacookhouseoc.com/
Unfortunately I didn't take my camera, so had to take pictures with my cellphone..Sigh

During lunch they offer buffet for $8.95/person.

(Above pic from indiacookhouseoc.com)

For $8.95 you get some appetizers, fruits and salad. Tandoori chicken, lamb shank, chicken curry, some fried fish, rice and some desserts.

The server gave out "Nan", fresh bread, after I sat at the table. Went out and got my curry, rice, and tandoori chicken. I was worried that I had to eat with my hands, but there were silverwares available. With "nan", I was basically eating with my hands, scooping food with nan. Stuffed myself with too much curry and rice. The food was great!!! No complaints there. I'd give 4 out 5 stars. Why not 5? Well I hoped they had little more choices of food, then again that's me. ^^
